HAVE YOU HEARD THE

big news

FROM

AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY?

Did you know...

Azusa Pacific University has a Title IX exemption allowing them to legally discriminate against women and LGBTQ+ students?

In May, 2022, Azusa Pacific University asserted its claim to a formal exemption to Title IX, in a letter to the U.S. Department of Education.

Title IX is the federal law protecting women and LGBTQ+ students from discrimination and harassment. But religious colleges can assert an exemption to the law.

Yes, that means they can discriminate against and allow the harassment of students, claiming their religious beliefs require them to.

From Azusa Pacific's website...

LGBTQ+ students: Expect discrimination, and worse.

Female students: Imagine what could happen if you've been accused of sex before marriage.

Imagine what happens if the R.A. finds a condom in the trash in your dorm.

Straight, male students: Will you be comfortable in an environment where your peers are unsafe?

Christian students: Will you be comfortable in a culture where "biblical norm" is the excuse for discrimination and harassment?

If you're upset, let them know.
